Brief Job Description:

As a Senior Deputy Manager Accounts, I am responsible for preparation of monthly accounts and identifications of major variances thereon, maintaining employee tax records, checking of all types of vouchers including store consumption vouchers, checking payroll and calculation of monthly yarn yield.

Key Contributions:

 Identification of excess payment for loading/ unloading of one contractor which was being made, since last four years, based on wrong rates due to wrong interpretation of contract rates having approximate financial impact of Rupees 0.5 Million.

 Identification of application of wrong tariff used by FESCO for nearly two years having approximate financial impact of Rupees 3 million, later reimbursed by the company.

I was involved in pre-audit of all kinds of vouchers and identification of control weaknesses and report thereon. The company underwent a change in accounting system from FoxPro to SAP-ERP, due to which I underwent trainings on FI, MM and HCM modules of SAP-ERP.

Key Contributions:

 Establishment of a new Audit Department at Faisalabad Location and to run it independently, before which audit function was based at Head Office, Karachi;

 Developed various SOP’s at the unit especially for sale function;

 Identified substantial quantities of C-grade garment (waste) stock remained unaccounted for, from the time of implementation of SAP due to missing parameters in the system.
